How to Cook Simple, Healthy Meals in 30 minutes

Coach Kalu values healthy eating that is also healthy for the environment. The events include workshops on optimizing your health, taking care of your body, managing illnesses and eating for prevention. Each workshop will include a healthy foods demonstration that will whip up vegetarian and vegan dishes to suit all palates.
Feed your body with healthy vegan / vegetarian foods packed with energy-boosting nutrients, phyto-chemicals and antioxidants that are pesticide-free, organic and sourced from local farmers’ markets, co-ops and whole foods markets.

Coach Kalu is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, Naturopath, Public Health Administrator and author of 8 books to include 4 detox books, 3 cookbooks, 1 personal memoir, and cooking instructor. She has combined her cooking savvy with her degrees to teach those with lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis sufferers, etc… how to cook healthy, delicious food.

Why attend live healthy based workshops and cooking classes?

The recipes are generally:
• Low fat
• Low sugar
• Low salt
• Gluten free (when stated)
• Plant-based

The real benefit here is that you will learn how to use fresh ingredients, herbs and spices to create good healthy delicious artful dished that still taste great without all the “bad stuff.”
Each live workshop ends with a farm-to-table 2-couse gourmet meal, during which guests are welcome to sips of complimentary drinks.

Workshops are scheduled to last 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Doors are closed 15 minutes before start time

Workshops include take-home recipes, sizable portion of great food, cooking tips, plus drinks and extras at times.

Cooking demos are hands on.

The highpoint of each class is sharing a meal together!

Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel a cooking class or series, we will give you credit towards another class or series, for use within 12 months of the original class date, as long as you cancel at least Five (5) days before the class or series start date. A class may be rescheduled only once. After the ingredients are purchased for the class with your registration taken into consideration for participation there are no refunds.

We reserve the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment with two day’s notice. In this case only a reimbursement (refund) will be made or any prepaid class may be used for another upcoming cooking class also within 12 months of the original class date.

Please note that registration is a firm commitment to attend the class or series and no refunds will be made: Any cancellations or class changes must be made at least 5 days prior to class; No exceptions will be made.

Food Demonstration:  Artisanal tea tasting, Fleur de Sal –Salt tasting to enrich your experience with seasonings. What is salt without something sweet? Oatmeal chocolate Gluten-free cookie and fragrant lavender mint sugar cookie. After dogs and diamonds, we’d say cookies are our friends.
